Self-potential as a tool to assess groundwater flow in hydrothermal systems: A review

چکیده
In hydrothermal systems associated with volcanic areas, the flow of groundwater generates an electrical current electrokinetic nature, so-called streaming current. This is drag excess charge located near surface minerals, in liquid pore water, Gouy-Chapman diffuse layer. turn, field (the potential) that can be remotely recorded at ground Earth (or wells) a simple voltmeter and pairs non-polarizing electrodes. A map self-potential signals obtained any scale using some specific procedures to correct for drifting electrodes or error closures mapping these large scales (tens kilometers). We first review underlying physics signals. Then we discuss forward inverse modeling examples pertaining areas. Several case studies anomalies are discussed. show how used assess pattern such systems. addition, transient hydro-mechanical disturbances generate than be, inverted obtain information on source including their localization magnitude. The next grand challenge monitor active volcanoes will combination time-lapse conductivity induced polarization tomography hydromechanical simulation codes.

P-84: Phospholipase C Zeta: As an Index to Assess Fertilization Potential of a Semen Sample
Background: Failed fertilization post ICSI has been mainly attributed to the sperm’s inability to induce oocyte activation. Phospholipase C Zeta (PLCζ) is considered to be a primary factor for the induction of oocyte activation. The aim of this study was to quantitatively assess the expression of PLCζ in globozoospermic or individuals with previous low or failed fertilization in comparison to f...

متن کاملSaliva As a Diagnostic Tool in Covid 19 Detection, A Review
Background and Aim: Delayed detection of SARS-CoV-2 has been a major hindrance in curbing the current COVID-19 pandemic. Wide spread testing is the most practical way out of the current crisis. The current gold standard for COVID-19 diagnosis is real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) detection of SARS-CoV-2 from nasopharyngeal swabs. However, collecting nasopharyngea...

متن کاملEvolution as a Tool to Design Self-organizing Systems
Self-organizing Systems exhibit numerous advantages such as robustness, adaptivity and scalability, and thus provide a solution for the increasing complexity we face within technical systems. While they are attractive solutions, due to their nature, designing self-organizing systems is not a straightforward task. Artificial evolution has been proposed as a possible way to build self-organizing ...
